Hiawatha National Bank Aquisition of First American Bank

Hiawatha National Bank and First American Bank combined their systems on August 24, 2020.  As you may know First American Bank was acquired by Hiawatha National Bank's holding company on Monday October 28, 2019.  Until now you have seen very few changes - the building, staff, products and services have largely remained the same.  Because of our similiar philosophies and our mutual focus on client service, you will notice that following the conversion of systems, your products and services will remain largely unchanged.  The most notable change for First American Bank clients will be with Internet Banking and Bill Pay.

All of the employees at Hiawatha National Bank and First American Bank are working hard to assure a smooth transition and while we have tried to anticipate and answer questions you may have, we understand there may be concerns that have not been addressed.  For more information, please call First American Bank at (715) 381-8330 or Hiawatha National Bank at (888) 460-8723.

To Our Clients: Covid-19 Preparedness

To protect the health and safety of our banking family of clients, community and employees, Hiawatha National Bank will close its lobbies effective March 17, 2020 until further notice.  Drive-ups, walk-up, ATMs and Night Drops will remain open at all HNB locations.  Please call (888) 460-8723 for information.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hiawatha National Bank's top priority is the health and well-being of our clients, colleagues, and communities.  Like you, we are deeply concerned by the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and want to do what we can to help keep our communities and families safe and healthy.  Hiawatha National Bank is very thankful for your loyalty as we take the safety of our clients and collegues very seriously and are committed to being responsive to your needs as the situation evolves.

A Pandemic Committee is in place at Hiawatha National Bank where current issues are discussed using information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local public authorities.  As information is provided, the committee is willing to take the necessary actions to provide the best service and support to our clients and community while maintaing a safe environment.

Hiawatha National Bank is committed to making sure you are protected.  We strongly encourage you to use our digital tools and other resources for self-service banking and 24/7 account access.  Please consider the following banking tips for your personal and business needs:

 * Enroll and use internet banking and mobile banking to access your accounts 24/7 without having to travel to the bank.

 * Download the HNB mobile app to your iPhone or Android devices.

 * Deposits, payments and transfers can all be done when using internet or mobile banking.

 * Set-up ACH and direct deposits to your account to ensure timely delivery of your paychecks and/or social security deposits.

 * Utilize our night drop box located in our drive-up for deposits and payments.

 * For Businesses - use your cash management and remote deposit services.

 * Consider using your debit card over cash transactions to minimize your personal exposure to germs.

 * Contact your banker or lender if you find yourself facing financial challenges during these cirumstances.  We are here to assist and encourage clients who may be impacted to reach out to discuss how we may be of assistance.

Most sincerely,

James Meisser
